The Lexus NX is available in four basic guises, NX 250, NX 350, NX 350h and NX 450h+. The NX 250 is powered by a 2.5L, 4-cylinder engine that makes 203 horsepower. Front-wheel drive is only available on the NX 250 the rest of the lineup is only available in all-wheel drive. The NX 350 is powered by a turbocharged 2.4L, 4-cylinder engine with 275 horsepower. Power is sent to the front wheels or all four wheels via an 8-speed automatic transmission. The NX 350h is driven by a 2.5L 4-cylinder mated to a CVT transmission that outputs 189 horsepower it's also assisted by an electric motor which brings the total horsepower to 240. At the top of the lineup sits the 450h+ that uses the same engine as the 350h but turned to produce 304 horsepower. The NX is a Lexus in every sense of the word and comes accordingly with a nice list of standard equipment. This includes a smart key with easy access entry, a push-button start, dual-zone automatic climate control, one-touch power windows, Dynamic Radar Cruise Control, a leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob, a 9.8-inch touchscreen display in the center dash, a 10-speaker sound system and Lexus' Enform Safety Connect system along with a host of advanced Lexus safety features. The Luxury trim adds a power liftgate, power sunroof, auto-leveling headlamps, heated and ventilated leather front seats, wood interior trim, 14-inch touchscreen, and rain sensing wipers. Safety features across the NX include an active lane departure system, a blind spot warning system, forward collision mitigation with cross traffic alert, rear collision warning, a pedestrian detection system, a driver attention alert and a traffic sign information system.
