Volkswagen Golf GTI
The Volkswagen Golf is offered in GTI and R performance variants in a 4-door hatchback configuration. The Golf GTI features a 2.0L turbocharged 4-cylinder engine that produces 241 horsepower, paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. The Golf R utilizes an enhanced version of this powertrain, generating 328 horsepower and equipped with all-wheel drive.
The Golf GTI is available in three distinct trim levels: S, SE, and Autobahn. The base S trim comes equipped with 18-inch alloy wheels, LED headlights, daytime running lights, fog lights, adaptive cruise control, a heated leather-wrapped steering wheel, heated front seats, cloth upholstery, automatic climate control, 4 USB ports, push-button start, and a 12.9-inch touchscreen interface.
The Autobahn trim enhances the GTI with 19-inch wheels, ventilated front seats, leather upholstery, dual-zone climate control with separate rear adjustments, HD satellite radio capability, wireless device charging, mobile hotspot functionality, a larger 10-inch touchscreen, and an integrated navigation system.
The Golf R is available in 2.0T only this year, and it includes 19-inch alloy wheels, auto-leveling directionally adaptive high beam headlights, a power sunroof, performance-tuned suspension, heated and ventilated front seats, 8-way power driver seat with memory function, heated rear seats, leather upholstery, automatic dual-zone climate control with separate rear controls, a premium 9-speaker audio system, and a 12.9-inch touchscreen display.
Standard safety features across the GTI and R lineup include 6 airbags, rearview camera, parking sensors, active lane keeping assist, blind spot monitoring, forward and rear collision mitigation systems, pedestrian detection technology, and the newly added dynamic road sign display w/road sign recognition.
