Toyota RAV4
For 2026, the Toyota RAV4 Hybrid offers multiple trim levels, with front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive available on the LE, SE, and XLE, and all-wheel drive exclusively on the Woodland, XSE, and Limited trims.
It is equipped with a sophisticated hybrid powertrain that centers on a 2.5-liter four-cylinder gasoline engine. This engine is integrated with a high-efficiency electric motor system and is available in both front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive configurations. The system provides a balanced output of 183 horsepower and 163 lb.-ft. of torque from the gasoline engine alone. When combined with the electric motor, the total system output increases to 226 horsepower in the front-wheel drive model or 236 hp in the all-wheel drive model, with 172 lb.-ft. of torque. A Continuously Variable Transmission manages power delivery. Toyota estimates the most efficient configuration will achieve EPA ratings of 48 mpg city and 42 mpg highway, though official EPA figures are pending. The RAV4 Hybrid is capable of accelerating from 0 to 60 mph in approximately 7.1 seconds.
For the 2026 model year, the entry-level LE trim of the Toyota RAV4 offers a strong focus on essential technology and efficiency. Standard exterior features include 17-inch wheels, LED headlights, LED daytime running lights, LED taillights, and roof rails. Inside, occupants will find practical amenities such as dual-zone automatic climate control, an 8-way manual driver's seat, power windows and door locks, remote keyless entry, 3 USB ports, and a 6-speaker audio system. The vehicle's tech suite is centered around a 10.5-inch touchscreen that provides wireless connectivity for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, along with Bluetooth capability. Furthermore, the LE prioritizes safety with standard adaptive cruise control, complete with traffic stop-and-go functionality and auto high-beam assist.
The SE trim caters to drivers desiring a more dynamic experience by offering sportier aesthetics and adds 18-inch black sport alloy wheels and a substantial 3,500 lbs towing capacity.
The XLE is positioned as a mid-level "Core" trim, enhancing the vehicle with a variety of convenience and comfort features. Key additions at this trim level include 5 USB ports, a practical power liftgate, leatherette seats, a leather steering wheel for a more premium feel, and wireless device charging capability.
The Woodland trim is a rugged trail-ready trim with unique styling cues designed for an adventurous lifestyle and comes with all-terrain tires which improve traction on unpaved surfaces, an increased ground clearance, noting that the addition of all-terrain tires and a unique suspension setup raises the RAV4's ride height by approximately 10mm (0.4 inches) over other trims, enhancing its off-pavement capability.
The XSE adds significant sport-focused upgrades in styling, handling, and technology compared to lower trims like the XLE, including a sport-tuned suspension and 20-inch black aluminum wheels.
The top-of-the-line Limited trim sets itself apart from lower trims by offering a suite of premium technology and comfort features, including a high-fidelity 9-speaker JBL premium audio system, and luxurious amenities like ventilated front seats and driver seat memory functionality.
The 2026 Toyota RAV4 sets a new benchmark for occupant protection by debuting the Toyota Safety Sense 4.0 suite as standard equipment across all models. This comprehensive safety package integrates advanced driver-assistance technologies, including a pre-collision system with left-turn intersection assist, pedestrian detection, and automatic curve slowdown. Standard features across the lineup also include active lane departure alerts, blind-spot warning, a traffic sign information system, and a robust network of eight airbags. Moving up to higher trims unlocks premium safety enhancements, such as a high-resolution 360-degree panoramic view monitor, front cross-traffic warnings, front and rear parking sensors with automatic braking, and specialized driver attention alerts to ensure peak awareness on every journey.
