Power for the LC 500 comes from a naturally aspirated 5.0L V8 with a 7,100-rpm redline. Output measures 471 horsepower with 398 lb.-ft of torque. The powertrain drives power to the rear wheels through a 10-speed automatic transmission with magnesium paddle shifters for manual-like control. Drive Mode Select provides customization of throttle response, transmission behavior, and suspension settings based on driving conditions. The Active Exhaust system allows drivers to modify exhaust note characteristics. All of these features work synergistically to catapult the Lexus from 0 to 60 mph in only 4.6 seconds.
The LC 500 comes with comprehensive standard equipment, including 21-inch alloy wheels, LED lighting systems, automatic high beams, auto-dimming power-folding exterior mirrors, 4-wheel vented disk brakes, and Smart Access keyless entry with push-button start.
The cabin features a power tilt/telescoping leather-wrapped steering wheel, 12.3-inch touchscreen with Lexus Interface, adaptive cruise control, heated and ventilated 8-way power front seats trimmed in leather, Bluetooth connectivity, Apple CarPlay/Android Auto integration, embedded navigation,12-speaker premium audio system, HD Radio, and SiriusXM satellite radio.
Safety systems include front and rear parking sensors, lane keep assist, blind spot monitor, rear cross traffic alert, pre-collision system, and vehicle sway warning, complemented by 8 airbags in the coupe and 6 in the convertible configuration.
