Hyundai Sonata
The 2026 Hyundai Sonata is offered in three front-wheel-drive (FWD) trims: SE, SEL Sport, and N Line, while the SEL Sport trim is also available as an all-wheel-drive (AWD) model. Powering the Hyundai Sonata is a 2.5L 4-cylinder engine producing 191 horsepower with 181 lb-ft of torque. While the second engine is a turbocharged 2.5L 4-cylinder unit making 290 horsepower with 311 lb-ft of torque, both mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission. The EPA fuel-economy ratings for the nonhybrid Sonata are as follows: as high as 28 mpg city and 38 mpg highway (depending on trim).

For 2026, the Hyundai Sonata Hybrid trim lineup expands with the new base ?Blue' trim joining the SEL and Limited trims. All three models are available in front-wheel-drive (FWD) only and feature a 2.0L 4-cylinder engine paired with a 6-speed automatic transmission, which produces 150 horsepower and 139 lb-ft of torque on its own. When combined with the electric motor, the total system output increases to 192 horsepower.
