Chrysler Pacifica
The Chrysler Pacifica is available with just one engine, the 3.6L "Pentastar" V6. This engine is used throughout Chrysler and Dodge's lineups for a few very good reasons: it's powerful, it's fuel efficient and it's refined. The engine is mated to a 9-speed automatic transmission that sends power to the front wheels. With 287 horsepower on tap, the Pacifica is perhaps a little faster than it really needs to be, but on-ramps and merging should be a snap. Chrysler claims up to 28 mpg on the highway with this engine.
For those who want even better fuel economy, there's the Pacifica Hybrid. The Pacifica Hybrid is powered by the same V6 engine which produces 260 horsepower. With the ability to run on electricity alone for up to 32 miles, the Pacifica Hybrid was the first hybrid-powered minivan available in the U.S.
The Pacifica comes in three different trim levels that take it from somewhat basic to full-on luxury. The Select trim features power liftgate, heated side mirrors with integrated turn signals, LED headlights and front fog lights, 17-inch wheels, heated front seats, tri-zone climate control, 6-speaker sound system, 10.1-inch touchscreen, adaptive cruise control, wireless device connectivity, and 10 USB ports.
The Limited trim adds power sunroof, 20-inch wheels, ventilated front seats, heated rear seats, leather upholstery, driver seat memory, HD satellite radio, 13-speaker sound system, mobile hotspot, wireless device charging, and 11 USB ports.
The Pinnacle trim features proximity sliding rear doors, auto-dimming side mirrors, 19-speaker sound system, second-row Blu-ray and digital entertainment system with 10-inch display screens, vacuum, and surround view cameras.
Standard safety features across the lineup include parking sensors, active lane departure, blind spot warning, forward collision mitigation, rear collision warning, and front pedestrian detection.
